The name Deadceptmageddon is a mashup of Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon aka the 3D trilogy for Mortal Kombat. The 3D trilogy is collectively among my favorite video games of all time.
Deadceptmageddon also has a side series called Psychic Pals, which focuses on the bond between Ermac and Kenshi. The two meet for the first time during Kenshi's Konquest story in Deadly Alliance.
In it, Kenshi frees Ermac from Shao Kahn's control, and they decide to teach him the Telekinetic Slam move out of gratitude. One can reasonably infer that the two are at least close friends.
