Scorpion and Frost were sparring in the Lin Kuei fortress's courtyard under orders from Sub-Zero.
"I must confess, sometimes, I have no idea what my older brother is thinking," Scorpion confessed. He threw a rope dart at Frost, who slid under it before she could get caught on it. "Between his intentions to create a nation and having you, a cryomancer, study under me, a pyromancer, I worry about his judgement."
"Trust me, I'm just as confused as you are, Scorpion," Frost replied. "Honestly, I'd have better luck mastering my powers under Grandmaster Sub-Zero's apprenticeship, but maybe he has his reasons."
"I only hope Bi Han's actions don't lead to our clan's downfall," Scorpion said. "He says they're for the good of the clan, but I worry about his judgement all the same."
Liu Kang appeared in a shimmer of orange and blue flames.
"I apologize for interrupting your training session, but I need to speak to your elder brother, Kuai Liang," Liu Kang began. "Your younger brother nearly fell into a death trap."
